Check out some of the groups in the genres you like. Spending time with other members who enjoy the same things as you is a great way to improve your writing. Find groups under the Navigation menu (left column) in Browse By Type --> Groups --> enter the genre (eg. Science-fiction) in the search box and click Enter.
