         "week 23 Retired Old Man Sitting by a Lake in Southern Oregon" Open in new Window.

Sam Adams
Was recently retired
And moved
To Southern Oregon

He would often
go for a walk
sitting by a lake
in Ashland’s Lithia’s park

watching the deer
frolicking near by
and the squirrels
playing in the trees

thinking back
on his life
and how he ended up
sitting by this lake

on a fine summer day
in a peaceful mood
watching life
pass him by.
