It crossed my mind to stand at the top of the short flight of stairs leading from the sidewalk to the side entrance of my grandson's elementary school, cup my hands to my mouth, and broadcast, "Will the owner of a short - but smart! - kindergartner please report to the Main Office." I'm reasonably certain every parent / grandparent dropping off a child would at least consider making the trip. However, seeing as how the principal is normally at that very door to do a fist bump with the munchkins as they enter, I have no doubt this would immediately backfire.

A favorite handle overlaying a US Army shoulder patch I proudly wore for many years.
