I've never really considered this question; my answer, though, is an unequivocal yes! If I didn't hold art in some kind of regard, why would I spend 90% of my waking hours here and / or preparing items for posting here? Why would Colorado Public Radio's Classical Music station be my #1 FM radio button in the car? If visual art is of no consequence, why is Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" one of my favorite pieces ? Okay, that one's a bit of a stretch, but still... Oh, yeah - I distinctly remember tearing up at an interpretive dance performance backed by some beautiful music.
