I am not so sure I could endorse an actor for any public or political position. After all, they have been practicing to be an actor. They are very talented in protraying someone else. Could they adjust to the real truth or just fall back on playing a role that is from a script? It just seems strange to visualize an actor giving us their true best when they are use to playing different characters. Can they be themselves?

I know that Ronald Reagan did pretty well as California Governor and then US President but I think he was unique in that respect. But, then again he wasn't the best of actors. However he did pretty well holding office in the Screen Actors Guild. He seems to be liked by most people. Didn't seem to make a nuisance of himself like some. He was a good speaker, didn't stumble around when making his presentations like some. He seems to be focused on the task of President. I am not saying he was perfect but he seem more down to earth, for the people, not like a career politician.
