If you still have lots of months to do, be patient and/or ask your favorite contest owners if they plan to open back up. Sometimes they are considering it and all they needed was an interested participant.
But if you get to the point where you're being held back because you've done all you can do, let me know. Ideally, since I'm a bit overwhelmed/swamped these days, find a replacement or two that is appropriate for the month(s) you're trying to fill in. For example, if you missed this month, no you can't replace a haiku contest with the Long Long Poetry contest. lol But since this is the long contest month, any long contest (more or less -- I'm sure there's an exception out there) would likely do.
Let me know if you have any questions. In the early years, things were a bit more fluid, so you kind of have to look and see what I was doing since I didn't know what I was doing. lol But for more recent years, June and November are short/quick/easy months. August is long contest month. April is poetry only. September allows previously written (but also newly written) items to give folks a break from August. I think those are the only dedicated months?
