At my age, I'll go with several lyricists. But it also depends on my mood. The sad thing is, I don't know who wrote the words to most songs. But I know I loved almost anything by Jim Steinman, almost any song by the Beatles (no matter which one of the Fab Four wrote it), Jim Croce, Carol King, Neil Diamond, Bruce Springsteen, Paul O'Neill, and Jeff Lynne. I know there are many more that I'm forgetting, but these people popped in my mind.
