What is one of the items on WdC you would recommend... and why?

NOT a contest or activity, but an actual item. It can have been written for a contest or activity, it can be a poem, short story, chapter or longer. Something people can read for themselves, so include a {item:xxx}, {entry:xxx} link if you can. And I realise there will be more than one. Just choose one, if you can, to highlight.

Me? I've seen quite a few I like, but the winner of the last Horror Writing Contest I ran is a good choice: "Cold Call" . Why? It is a horror story with a real sense of dread, well-written and a fine example of the genre.
