I, as an adult, take a lot of responsibility. I work for the PoPo as a civilian employee and I have no desire to post stuff that's going to get me in trouble. What would do that? Posting about incidents that we handle, dispositions of calls, etc. I don't mind posting about religion, but I'll post a quote or two that might have resonated with me that day. I'm not preaching to you. I generally don't post politics as I have no desire to get Doxxed and yes, that's a real thing on both sides of the isles. As for other adults, I've seen some who take social media responsibility and some who just spout what's on the top of their head and that's not a good thing, especially if they have no critical thinking skills. All in all, we each have a responsibility to do what a level headed person does, but if you take your posting to an extreme, you should expect consquences for your actions, however that lands. Own it. Take responsiblity for your own posts and actions regarding that post. The only one in charge of you as an adult is you. It's not always other people's fault. Sometimes it's yours and you gotta own one way or another. |
