I didn't think to recognize the fact that you didn't go to school for 3 years, that you took time off and figured out what the best way was for yourself.

Hehe! Yeah, it's an experience in itself to eat crap and drink booze and study things and live on a campus and stuff.

I think I'm annoyed at everyone aiming for a major or degree right now because I realize that my talent is not something that can be taught unless I go to a special school (something militant, secretive, and private and expensive like the Monterey Institute of Foreign Language). I need to get someone to teach me Arabic, or I need to go live in Egypt or Mexico to learn the languages that are needed. Actually, Spanish translators aren't needed at all; I was infuriated to hear how stupid our government was with Arabic translators in Iraq. I think there were only 70 that the army could muster together! And there should be about 850 there - that's like 790 more trnslators needed! I don't necerssarily want to work for the government (maybe I could learn some of their dirty secrets, though, eh?!) though...

When does Peter arrive, Fea? I'm so happy you guys get to see each other! Nathan and I were apart for 2 1/2 days when we went home last weekend, and I nearly died. Gaaak. Do you guys have plans for Halloween?
