The house was very cool. It reminded me of the Neffs' house, actually. An old farmhouse, rambling, with rooms popping out in unexpected places and about four front doors. We managed to fit, although sleeping was a bit cramped. Because I arrived early with my family, Rachel and I nabbed spots in Franny's room on her futon, so I didn't get a backache sleeping on the wood floor!
I knew five of the folks from being at camp with them, two more from meeting online and becoming pen pals, and the rest I knew of from seeing them online.
The drive was 10 hours there and 10 hours back. We left in the afternoon but didn't push it (stopped a couple times), so hence the late hour arriving home. Then we had a leetle family fight and didn't get in bed until eight a.m. Crazy, yo?!
