While not always the case, it can be generally assumed that people are more likely to reward reviews that are positive about their work rather than negative.

Good point. Personally, I've found that my most thorough reviews have tended to be positive reviews that were accompanied by 5.0 and 4.5 ratings, but even considering that, I still have a very subjective opinion about my reviews.
