4/19 Words - The Eagle

         The Eagle

There is no gathering of eagles
On some mountain bleak
For theirs is a solitary life
Among the lonesome peaks

Eagles are persistent hunters
Their heart tranquil and sure
That beckons others to follow
This feathered entrepreneur

He does not devour his young
But nurtures them as they grow
So they will be hunters like he
And all his skill they’ll know

The eagle is an example to all
In flocks they do not run
They are strong and daring
You’ll find them one by one

It’s time to come away
