The book I got was a volume of redone faery tales; I read the first, which was based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I don't think I read much farther than the first one; I may have read another based on Cinderella (?)...I'm not sure. I'll look for her novels, though! I might get into those more. I was never a short story fan (not even of my own short stories). I so much prefer novels, where the author has room to slowly lead the reader into her world, doling it out like scoops of ice cream until the reader has the whole picture and there's room to spring surprises or a dramatic conclusion. If you read Sunshine, tell me tell me what you think! I don't know if you'd like it at all or not; it may be the sort of book that you either love or loathe. I got it out of the library again, but I'm a little afraid to reread it. What if I hate it this time?! I wish I had someone to hold my hand while I tentatively read the first page, hoping it holds the magic it held for me in November.... What if it was magical only in November, only when I so desperately needed that magic? What if I reread it and it's just a book, a nice book, a good book, but not the spellbinding riveting concoction of my memory? Sometimes it scares me how much I live in the world of books.
