Do you write for publication? What markets? Use market guides? Which ones? |
To answer your questions in your introduction, yes, I have been published, but not where I truly long to be. I used to write children's 1 page stories with a moral along biblical lines for Keys for Kids. Many of those pieces have been republished into kid's daily devotionals for a year book through Tyndale. It was difficult for me to write these, as I am not an avid church attender and looking up bible passages to support my stories was very time consuming. Yes, I got paid.... at the beginning it was about $8.00 per story, then $12, then $15. My true goal, however, is to write a picture book for kids, or perhaps a poetry book in the same sense as Shel Silverstein. I need to get off my bottom and start sending manuscripts out again. I think that answers all your questions...
