I'm not from Australia, have never been to Australia, but I'm in the process of looking for grad schools and oooh would I love to go to Australia for grad school. Anyway, I've put that on my dream list, but frankly it's kind of scary cuz I don't know a whole lot about life there. What's it like? Any suggestions on what I might do to research grad programs there? I'm interested in getting a Masters in English studies. Is it an expensive place to live? How's the economy? What should I be considering? lol I'm not sure if this is what this forum's meant for, but darnit, I think Australia is one of the most interesting places in the world and I wanna go!

By the way, I'm from the northwest tip of the US. You know Lauren Jackson? She plays for my hometown woman's pro basketball team. :P
