The cons of being different but being able to persevere through it. Part II of Blue
Even though this seems like luxury, speaking two languages,
It can really be a burden at a certain situation.
Whenever Blue performs a lullaby, it’s not always the same,
She can be neither a violin or viola it seems. When the violins
Hear her play, they all stare at her, like she is an alien from
Outer space. They screech at her, saying, “You’re not a viola,
Tweet like a violin. While the violas are, “Chirping like violin, psh,
No, be eloquent like us.” Or the violins sings “Hey, be robust like a viola,” or
Violas grunt “Trill like a violin.” Or if the violins try to sound like a viola
In order to communicate with Blue, thinking that she can’t sing like a violin,
And the same with violas. Thank you world, just thank you.
With you I am questionable. Am I this or that?
Being born in America and raised by Asian parents.
Just because I’m one nationality or the other
it doesn’t mean I can’t talk like you.
Stop treating me like a child who can’t verbalize. You don’t have to speak English,
Thinking that I can’t talk the tongue at all or that I can’t comprehend Korean.
But I’m not a parrot either, echoing every other word you say.
I am special, always carrying two birds around inside me, accept it.
I will never be a parrot, asking, Does Polly want a cracker?
