The woman rises as quickly as she squatted, your brief glimpse of the sneer of distaste creasing her billboard face snatched away in a blur of motion. Still, it's enough warning to give your reflexes time to get you away as she raises and smashes down her stiletto-heeled foot.
The impact is stunning, even as you dash away, the noise piercing. She's careless enough to nudge the flaming wreck of your car, which skids away from her, forcing you to dive flat and allow it to careen over you. A bark of annoyance sounds far above, the most terrifying sound you have ever heard.
Could you outrun her? Unlikely. But could you outrun her sense of giving a damn? After all, what sensible person is going to waste their time chasing a bug around when they have business to attend to? Perhaps dashing across the street would make her grow bored and leave you alone.
Then again, perhaps she can still be reasoned with? Better that you try to calm one that has already seen you than search for a newcomer in a city run by enemy agents.
