Tiny that goes to bigland looking for opportunity

-The 'Micro' economy crashes-
Read the news paper in the hands of Matt a rather adventurous young 'Micro' (you) hitching a ride to a 'Macro' city.
{For those who don't know micro=small while macro=large}

Because of the Micros government pushing for a leg up in the almost cold war with the much larger macro people, large investments fell to research and development. Unfortunately the invention of cold fusion came along ... Well in a way it was good; less smog, cheaper energy, more powerful/versatile gadgets, less reliance on oil (now virtually all oil can be sold to generate large funds thus adding to further progress of the Micro society since it's not needed as fuel any longer). Unfortunately this caused a ripple effect of destroying jobs around 'old energy' causing a major crash in the economy.

You were startled from your newspaper as the light train stopped at the border. You and many other desperate Micros were looking for jobs in the most terrifying land to your people. Although needed work you wouldn't consider yourself desperate, in fact you liked the idea of adventure in 'giantland', who knows maybe you'll even find a giant girl and fall in love. Stepping off the train you begin your new life.

The next day you awake in the god sized hotel room and head for your new job...
