As air let out of his arms, his quads and his calves, Jared’s body slowly descended to the ground until he gently touched down on the grassy field on what seemed like a large horse ranch, many miles outside of the city where Jared lived. He realized he had traveled several miles by air, thanks to the wind blowing him over several miles while his arms and legs were inflated into large, human balloons. Now that he had landed, he knew that he had a few minutes there, until Drew inflated his muscles for the next flight.
A girl walked up to him and said hi to him. She was wearing a cowboy hat and she had on western clothing, like a cowgirl. She asked Jared who he was and how he got there. Then, he told her that his body would inflate like a balloon and that he would fly off again, soon.
The girl, named Lucy, became very curious.
“I saw you floating in the sky! So, you’re a human balloon?” she asked him.
“Yeah! My friend Drew controls my body, and he can inflate my arms and my leg muscles and fill them with air, which will make me take off again in a few minutes. He’s allowing me to fly around this afternoon so I can visit a few farms around this area!” Jared explained.
Lucy let one of the horses walk up to Jared so that he could rub its nose.
“Well, I hope you come back and visit me again soon. Let me give you my address!” Lucy said as she wrote down her address on a small sheet of paper before she handed it to Jared. “Are you leaving again soon?”
Just then, Jared could feel that his muscles were about to inflate again.
“Yeah! Drew is blowing up my muscles right now! I gotta goooooooo!” Jared said as his biceps grew bigger and bigger, filling up with so much air that his body slowly lifted up and off the ground, followed by his quads and calves inflating as well.
As Lucy looked up, she saw Jared rise up and ascend higher into the sky. The boy waved at her and she waved back, as Jared’s body disappeared into the bright, blue sky. The wind gust then picked him up and pushed him further away.
