Chapter #7

Saved by...Cliff? Now who´s that?

So cold...it´s not a nice feeling you have when you wake up. The ground beneath you consists of cold and lifeless stone, which somehow confuses you. It means that you can´t be in your room anymore. Your whole body hurts, but you manage to stand up.
"Uh...my head aches...damn it. What is this place?"
You see that the ground you´re now standing on is made of pure and white marble, like in a palace. This thought is not that stupid, since you also see columns and splendidly decorated walls. The only problem is that they´re GIGANTIC and make you feel insignificant. It´s somehow weird, just like in a bad dream, but you know it´s not a dream. The feeling you have tells you it´s pretty damn real. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake violently, like in an earthquake. You look at an opened door and see an enormous shadow approaching, and soon you see the person the shadow belongs to. And it´s awe-inspiring. The gigantic person you see is an incredibly beautiful black-haired girl in a white dress. She looks like a princess...like a princess you know from your own experience. From a game...one of your favourite games: Final Fantasy IX. The princess you´re gazing at is Garnet, and she´s walking in your direction, threatening you with her gigantic shoes. But you´re shocked and cannot move, you´re paralyzed. Her shoe crushes on the ground only a few metres away from you, and in a few seconds you would be directly under her shoe, like an ant. That´s by the way your size: the size of an ant. But suddenly, you can hear a voice near you.
"Hey, you moron! What are ya doing there?! Get out of her way, or do you want to be crushed?!"
Moments later you can feel that your body is being pushed by someone, you figure that someone jumped at you in order to get you out of Garnet´s way, and he succeeded. Before you can die a terrible death under her foot, you are saved by someone. You´re lying on the floor, and next to you there´s lying another person, as tiny as you are. According to his look, the man who saved you is about 30 years old, seems to be a human and is wearing pretty ordinary clothes...considering the fact you´re in the world of Final Fantasy IX.
"Damn it, that was close! You can be glad I arrived here by chance!"
"Thank you...sir."
"Don´t call me sir, lad. Just call me Cliff. And who´re you? Haven´t seen you around here before."
"I...I´m John. John Foster."
"Interesting name, really."
You both stare at the gorgeous princess who´s now slowly walking away from your position.
"Anyway, what´re you doing here? You know it´s dangerous for people of our size to walk around in the castle like that. Heck, not only in the castle. Well, we better get going. You coming with me, okay?"
"Okay..."
So both of you are running toward a wall in the castle, which appears to be castle Alexandria. You have no idea what this guy was talking about, but he saved your life, so you trust him for now. You arrive at a tiny hole in the wall (tiny for a person like Garnet, almost insignificant), and you and Cliff enter it.

You have the following choice:

1. Cliff explains to you what´s going on, and you´re shocked!
