This choice: Follow the little blue dragon into the cave • Go Back...Chapter #4Into the darkness.... by: NegaScout Amelia turned and made for the cave as fast as she could. "Jagged rocks be damned," she thought to herself, "ain't no way I'm gonna be a dragon burger!"
The red dragon burst out of the foliage and skidded to a stop on the edge of the salt falts. He was huge, all muscle and sinew. His scales glittered crimson in the light, and his eyes narrowed as he spotted the fleeing girl. Crouching like a cat, he bunched his hind legs and leapt into the air.
Amelia shot a quick look over one shoulder and nearly lost her balance when she saw the dragon hurtling towards her. She had no time! Jagged rocks crowded the cave mouth, and here she was without a stitch of clothing. It was going to be a hard landing...
Without hestitation, she closed her eyes and made a leap for the cave mouth. The little blue dragon chirped in terror and scurried deeper into the cave, just as Amelia landed--hard!
The red dragon was only seconds behind and a thunderous boom shook the cave as he collided head first with the mountain outside.
Now, my friends, we all know that dragons are tough creatures, but red dragons, in particular, have exceedingly thick skulls, and this one was no exception. He was dazed for no more than a minute, and when he regained his senses, he tore at the mountainside with sharp claws, digging his way towards the helpless, naked girl.
Amelia, bleeding from a deep gash in her thigh, struggled to pull herself further into the cave. All around her, jagged rocks bit into her flesh.
A dark shadow obscured the cave mouth, and the red's crimson snout pressed into the cavern, teeth snapping. Behind Amelia, the little blue dragon howled and scratched at Amelia's shoulder, trying to drag her further into darkness. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
