Blade explains some things.

The three were walking down an old trail. Blade was explaining everything. "It began when a cruiser crashed on the island. Then the millitary began a secret weapons facility, before it could be brought online, dragons swarmed over and ate everything. My whole squad was evaced, but i missed the last helo out of here" His face goes down a bit from the memory.
"Dont you have a dragon? I mean you do have weapons, but they can't take down everything, or protect that place you live in."
"Your right. I have a large series of auto-turrets installed to protect the base. And i do ave a dragon. Her name is Blaze. She's a deep blue with a big wings span. She's been my only company on this island for sometime." His face betrays the fact that he's done something with the dragon.
" Your eyes, and your age?"
" I was part of a genetic test expirement. We found old bones of dragons, and someone decided to cross genetically change humans. I voluntereed. The Dragon DNA... changed me, it took a decade of my looks and gave me advanced regenerative abilities. As well as the eyes, scaled skin and claws that can sheer through any metal." To prove his point, he extends his 4 inch claws that cut through his metal gloves.
Krystal jumps a little. "I also have wings, and can change back and forth between human and dragon. Ah, here we are." Ahead lies a dozen metal structures. Surround by boxy missile turrets and cannons and machine guns.
