Haley looked to be the same age as her eight-year-old niece Rebecca. She shrunk completely out her clothes, her chest was completely flat, and when she spoke, her voice was very high-pitched and girly. She immediately called her sister on the phone and explained the circumstances. Mary was very understanding and drove over. At her sister's house, Haley was loaned some clothes from Rebecca -- a pair of magenta pajamas and a nighttime pull-up since she'd had problems with accidents when she was little, and Mary didn't want to take that chance.
Not long after she arrived, it was decided that as an eight-year-old girl without any clothes of her own, Haley could no longer live alone. She would share a room with Rebecca, and Mary would raise her as if she were Rebecca's twin sister. Haley adapted to this rather quickly, and by April that same year, she had clothes of her own and was acting as if she had never been any older than eight.
