As Sasha got to the Village cafe, it was jam packed with her fellow athletes also wanting a bite to eat. Some complained about the quality of food, but others are just happey with getting food after long hard practices.
Sasha gets in line and order a pasta salad, calimari (as a bit of a splurge), and a soda. Maybe not a lot, but after ner morning, sustinance is sustinance.
"Oh hey Sasha! How was practice?" asked her teammate Emily Hughes, who was accompanied by short track skater Alison Baver, and they too had finished their practices. "Not too bad, but not great either. I've still got aways to go if I want to be in good form," replied Sasha. After the sentence, she took a sip of the cola she'd bought from the line. Little did she realize it was tainted, not with steroids or any performance enhancing drug, but it had been irradiated in an test in a Torino factory, and someone forgot to take it off the manufacturing line before it got to the village.
As she finished up, she gathered her stuff and went out.
