Deciding that there was no way they were going to get out of there without at least appearing somewhat cordial, Wanda looked at the tall black man and forced herself to smile.
"Okay! I'll dance with you." she said as she pushed her chair back, stood up and walked over to the small open area.
Somewhat surprised by Wanda's response, the tall black man just stood there for a moment, looking at the curvaceous redhead. Slowly, a big smile came to his lips as he walked over to her.
"Get some music playing on the juke box, Carl." he commanded to one of the other black men. "And make sure it's something nice and slow."
Taking her cue from Wanda, Sara stood up and smiled at one of the men standing near the table. As he took her elbow and led her out to the tiny dancing area, she felt weak and slightly faint but, she knew she was going to have to at least go through the appearances of being friendly.
Realizing she needed to do something, Vivian looked up at the men standing around her. Picking the least threatening looking man, she stood up, indicated to him that she would dance with him and let him lead her out to the dance floor.
As a slow melody began coming from the juke box, each of the women found themselves in the firm grasp of a man, being guided slowly around the dance floor.
When the first song ended, each of the women found themselves being passed to another man, as it now seemed that every guy in the place was going to take a turn dancing with them.
Three songs later, all three women were still trying to figure out how they could gracefully get themselves out of a very threatening situation. When Sara had said she wanted a drink, one of the men brought her a drink out on the dance floor, insuring that she would not be able to get back to the table nor, would she be able to stop dancing.
Vivian had also tried to use the same ploy, but she ended up with the same results. There just didn't seem to be any way they were going to be able to out of predicament unless the police came in the door.
As they found themselves being guided around the dance floor by man after man, all three women also found that they were also going to have to put up with something else. As they danced, they quickly became aware of the hands moving over their bodies, touching their buttocks, squeezing, caressing, and fondling. Although all three of them were somewhat intoxicated, each of them tried their best to fend off the groping hands that seemed to be everywhere.
"I need to use the restroom..." said Wanda to her newest dance partner as the music stopped for a moment. Releasing her, he stepped back, nodded and pointed to a door at the end of the hall in the back.
Wanda forced herself to give him a smile as she said, "I'll be right back."
Dizzy from all the drinks she and the other two women were being encouraged to drink, she staggered down the dimly lit hallway, nearly losing her balance twice. As she approached the end of the hallway, she saw three doors, each with a small sign on it. The sign to the left read "Men's" and the one to the right read "Women's". But the sign that caught her eye was on the door directly in front of her. That sign read, "EXIT".
