Saria wondered through the halls of the Forest Temple, she considered it her special place, the one place she was able to seek peace after Link had left the forest, she missed the chance to tell Link how she truly felt before he left and she was still sad after all these years over losing it.
Recently she had sensed dark forces at work in the temple, strange creatures were appearing and the spirits of the forest were restless, she decided to investigate.
She had been wandering throught the dark corridors, deeper than she had ever ventured before when she came to a room full of exquisite paintings, brightly lit by torches.
She was surprised to see a spectral figure emerge suddenly from a painting upon an armoured steed, the figure hovered menacingly above her.
A cruel and bony face stared at her with menacing eyes until eventually it spoke,
'Interlopers cannot be allowed, this temple is now part of Ganon's domain, i was forbidden by my master to kill you, but he never forbade me from inconveniencing you in...other fashions.'
with that, the figure hurled a crackling ball of energy from it's hand, Saria being quite agile by nature narrowly dodged it.
However before she could gather her wits, the spectral figure unleashed another volley, she barely avoided the first few missiles but one of them struck her in the chest and she fell to the floor.
As everything around her become dark, she found she was completely paralysed, her eyes dulled and unconsciousness soon followed.
