Link felt the wind rip across his face as Epona tore around the ranch at top speed. "Ride em' girl!" he hollowed as Epona leapt over yet another tall barrier.
In times of peace, Link still stayed active, exploring Hyrule and testing his sword play. Some days he was at Hyrule Castle with Princess Zelda. Some days he was tearing through the desert with Gerudo warriors. Others he was simply relaxing at Lon-Lon Ranch and racing Epona.
Malon watched him from the window of the barn. She blushed slightly as he ran by the window, the sight of Link's toned form sending her heart into a tizzy. Even under the loose tunic, she could tell that he was still muscular. As she did so, she carefully milked the cow in front of her.
The cow that she was currently milking was special. It had been given a special diet to increase its milk output. It had all been Inigo's idea - he was the one who counted the Rupees on the ranch. This was the first cow they had tested it on and Malon had indeed noticed an increase in the amount it gave today. However, since the diet had begun, the cow had also tripled in girth, barely able to move on its own, though otherwise it seemed healthy. She pet the large cow on the forehead as she heard Link gallop by again.
Malon started to pour the milk into the bottles. She smiled at the thought of the kind Kairu in the Castle Town who was a client of the ranch. However, she'd noticed that over the last few trips to deliver milk to him, he'd seemed a little heavier each time. At first it was hard to notice, because he'd always been so incredibly skinny, but by the third week Kairu had a noticeable paunch and a second chin.
Malon didn't like to admit it, but she had actually thought Kairu more attractive as he grew bigger. As she looked out the window once more at Link, she started wondering what he would look like at a larger size. "Now, now, Malon," she scolded herself, "He's fine the way he is."
But still the thought lingered...
Malon heard Link gallop up to the door of the barn. She finished her bottling quickly and smiled brightly as he entered. "Hey Fairy Boy!" she quipped, "You sure racing around 50 times was enough?!"
Link smiled, then looked over to the Lon-Lon Milk she'd just bottled. "Hey, is that fresh?" he asked, excitement in his voice. Link's love for Lon-Lon Milk was legendary in Hyrule.
