Link found something about the two girls enticing. They wore strange clothes, the taller of the two in pink, the shorter in blue, but both had their eyes focused tightly on him. He looked back towards Zelda, who was talking to the shopkeeper about the price of a pendant. Surely he had time to just talk to the girls, right?
As he approached them, they laughed lightly. "Is there something funny?" he asked.
The girl in pink walked up to him, touching one of his muscular biceps. "Silly, you're what's funny," she said, feeling it over, "isn't he Greta?"
The girl in blue put a hand to Link's other arm, pinching what little skin she could get between her finger tips. "Yes he is, Lila," she said, "because he's just so skinny!"
Link pulled his arms away from both of the girls. "Too skinny?" he protested, "That's crazy. I stay in shape, I fight constantly, I'm perfectly fine!"
The girls laid their hands on him again, getting a tighter grip. Link felt his will slip away. He didn't really want to fight them, did he? They were just trying to help him.
"You're too skinny," said Greta.
Yes. Too skinny.
"We'll make you fatter. Much fatter," said Lila.
Of course. He wanted to get fatter. He looked ridiculous, and he needed to fatten up so he'd look normal.
Just as Zelda finished her shopping, she turned to ask Link for his opinion on her necklace, only to find that he'd disappeared entirely.
