As you reach up to rub the sleep from your eyes you notice that your hands are covered with velvety smooth white fur. A seamless white that is only broken by the contrast of the ten black claws on the tips of your fingers.
You lazily push yourself up from your seat and head out to find the lavatory so you can wash your face. While you stumble down the cart towards the back of the train you can’t help but notice how sharp your hearing had become. Every sound and voice coming from both the train and the babbling passengers you pass on the way seems annoyingly loud. Your sense of smell is likewise affected, enhanced to a point where you can almost taste the different scents in the air. You try to ignore them, but cant help a slight sigh of relief as you finally reach the lavatory and lock the door behind you.
You turn on the faucet and wash your face with the cool water. It has an immediate positive effect: clearing your mind from the sleepy haze. Stifling a yawn, you shake your head and take a look into the mirror: an arctic fox with ice-blue eyes is staring back at you with white fur that is almost glowing in the dim light. Despite the sleeveless black hoodie and grey pants you are wearing you can tell that you have an athletic body, although you do seem a little shorter than average.
A brief passenger announcement suddenly alerts you that the train is about to stop so you quickly dry yourself with a fistful of paper towels and return to your seat and get your backpack. You can feel your rising excitement about your upcoming vacation fill you up with energy.
The city’s railway station is much bigger than you expected and there are so many signs pointing in every direction it makes your head spin.
