This choice: Naruto falls asleep and starts flooding the village with his drool • Go Back... Naruto stared down at the village, waiting impatiently for day to break. But he'd only been asleep for a few hours when he started growing and day was a long ways away. His eyes started to close and he quickly opened them again. He wouldn't fall asleep! For the next hour he slowly toed the line between sleeping and wakefullness until, around one in the morning, he fell back to sleep. Luckily for the villagers his breath was high above the buildings and he didn't snore. But for all this good luck, there was a substantial amount of bad luck. As he slept, he started to drool. For Naruto, this was a couple of drops, a thin stream at most. For the villagers, this was a deluge! It started out slow. Drops no bigger than rain pattered the rooftops. This was no bother for most of the villagers, but Shikamaru, who'd been having trouble sleeping anyway, was annoyed by the pattering.
"What a drag!" He moaned, crawling out of bed and forcing his curtains open. His eyes bugged out of his head as threw open the window and looked at the sky. A humongous face was sleeping at the edge of the village. And, judging by the trademark whisker like markings on the cheeks, the giant was Naruto.
"Well, this is just perfect." Shikamaru said sarcastically. Before he could pull his head back in a drop of drool landed on his head. He quickly pulled his head back in and felt the spot the drool had landed on. "And now I've Naruto's spit on my head. I should've just stayed in bed."
He went into the bathroom and washed his hair before crawling back into bed and pulling the covers over his head.
As Shikamaru actively ignored the pattering, knowing it to be Naruto's drool, Naruto slept on, his stream of drool increasing. Soon, it began to puddle on the edges of the village and flow through the streets. Within the hour, a full five feet of standing drool was washing through the village and as Naruto slept on, more and more drool exited his mouth and hit areas all over the village. Shikamaru sighed as he heard something splintering next door. He moved to the window and was disgusted to see it covered in drool. He threw it open and was shocked again to see the amount of drool flowing throughout the village. Looking up as best as he could, he saw the drool falling from Naruto's slightly parted lips.
"If he doesn't stop that, the whole village is going to go under!"
As Shikimaru came to this conclusion, villagers all over the village started awakening to the flooding. In the next hour, every villager was awake and screaming as they saw the massive giant slowly drowning them in drool! Naruto remained blissfully unaware of this and slept on. With six hours before dawn, there was a good chance the entire village would be wiped out before Naruto woke up. Anbu Black Ops had been dispatched and were currently peppering Naruto's face, trying to wake him with shuriken, kunai, and any jutsu they could think of.
Five hours later, as the sun began to rise, the village was completely covered in drool. The villagers had all evacuated to the inside of the Hokage Mountain. The drool was flowing thickest there, in a waterfall, but they entered via a few secret passages. They would just have to wait this storm out.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
