Now everything's dark. You still hear the conversation. For some odd reason, the air smells like wood.
The door to the cabinet opens. You realize that you're a frying pan. Harriet pulls you out and puts you on the stove. Smoochums jumps up onto the counter next to you. Harriet ignores him for a moment while she goes to get eggs from the refridgerator.
"How's it hangin'?" a deep male voice like Issac Hayes asks. The voice then adds, with a chuckle, "Wait. You ain't got nothin' that hangs no mo!"
You look over at Smoochums. The fat cat stares at you knowingly.
You can't help but chuckle at your joke. The cat becomes indignant.
"Don't laugh! It's a serious problem!" he growls.
Something occurs to you. "How is it that no one but you can hear me?"
"The curse." the cat answers. "The spell requires that a guardian is sent along to ensure that the idiot that the woman cursed doesn't get killed."
"When will the curse break?"
"When you get the point drilled into yo thick-ass head!"
"Great..." you moan. That might take a while.
Harriet comes back. Smoochums sighs.
"You owe me for this."
With that, he knocks you off the stove top. Harriet cfries out in frustration. She picks Smoochums up by the skin of his neck and hurls him outside mercilessly. You wait in terror.
That poor bastard... you think. Harriet picks you up.
