Chapter #5

The Twisted Game Begins

by: Jack Frost Author IconMail Icon
You go through the door and see a long hallway. You start walking down it, the other mon following you. After what feels like a long time, you see another door. The door has the photo of a Piplup.

You look back. There was indeed a Piplup in the crowd. He had a terrified look on his face.

With no choice, you open the door and lead the scared Piplup inside. On the other side of the door, you see a pair of foot stocks. Next to the foot stocks there’s a metronome. Not the move, but an actual metronome. Right now its pointer was staying completely still. Actually, now that you looked closer, metronome seemed a bit strange. It had no numbers. Above the stocks was a red button with the label “fate”.

“Piplup, put your feet in the stocks. The others may help you if you need”

Reluctantly, Piplup walked over to the stocks. Midway through locking himself in, however, he said:

“W-What happens if I don’t lock it?”

“Consequences”

Gulping big, Piplup locked the stocks, his tiny webbed feet sticking out on the other side. Suddenly, two chains appeared out of nowhere and locked themselves around Piplup’s flippers, raising them above his head. Piplup was completely exposed now. Multiple hands emerged from holes in the foot stocks. Some were carrying tickle items like brushes and feathers, while others were not carrying anything. Some others were even carrying bottles or something.

“Your game, Piplup, is called Fate’s Hand. You will be tickled for one hour straight. During that time, you cannot get out of the stocks or allow your companions to help you. You can, however, press the red button on top of your head. Your flippers should be on just about enough reach for you to press. Press the button and one of two things may happen: one, the tickling will lower intensity and the timer will lower by fifteen minutes. Two, nothing will happen. Three, the tickling will increase intensity and the timer will increase by fifteen minutes. In other words, if you feel like it’s too much for you, you may press the button and let fate decide your… well, fate. When the timer reaches zero, you will be released and get a key”

Piplup gulped big upon hearing all this. Soon enough, the tickling started. Piplup almost howled with laughter as fingers propped his wing pits, feathers brushed his belly and brushes scrubbed his feet. You can’t help but feel sorry for him, and one look at everyone else and you can see they are feeling the same.

You look down at Gatomon. She’s sobbing and refusing to look at Piplup.

You have the following choices:

1. Leave the room with Gatomon

2. Stay and watch
