"Mom, I'm heading out!" Joanna yelled from the yard.
Your mother, Ashleigh, quickly caught her, "Oh, honey, before you go, would you mind helping me with something really quick?" She led her daughter into the shed, and sat her down in one of the pods, closing her in, and then sat herself in the opposite pod, activating the machine. As the motors whirled, and the pod illuminated with light, she began to feel light headed and passed out of consciousness.
As quickly as she faded, she jerked back into awakeness, as if she'd nearly fallen asleep in class. An apt comparison, because she could tell without a glance that she'd become lighter, younger and more spry. Even her mind had a renewed sharpness that had been worn down by over 40 years of life.
She peaked out of the pod and looked around. It was a little disorienting to come out of a different pod than she had entered. A light mumbling could be heard from that pod, so your mother opened the door.
"Mmmm... Mom, I feel really *yaaawn* tired, like, all of a sudden. I think I'll stay home." Joanna mumbles. The transfer effect must have taken a lot out of her body. She doesn't even open her eyes or seem to realize what has happened. Ashleigh goes inside the house and gets a pillow and blanket, and tucks her in without removing her from the pod, and then closes the door.
"Well, if Joanna is out cold, I guess it's my responsibility as her mother to take care of her body while she rests! Whatever shall I do?"
