Chapter #5
He becomes taller then the houses around him
by: Unknown
John takes careful aim at the young wolf, thinking about how its gonna be having a John the Giant and a John Lion. Then a thought occurs to him, he was slightly off in that kids name, not John but Jim. What did it matter, he was just an eight year old little kid anyone, well, little for only a short while longer if this worked. That was the real question.
There the Lion stood, behind the cover of bushes and hedges with the gun sitting just on top to steady the aim. He pulled the trigger, holding it down as a blue beam lanced out across and down he road. It struck the little lupine square in the chest. Nothing happened and you gave up but held the trigger thinking that maybe it was just a first-time use sorta thing. That was always it with computer, turn it on for its first boot and get a nice long wait.
After a few seconds the boy grew. He doubled from 45 inches to ninety, towering clear over you but he was too far away for that to matter yet. Jim kept growing, looking around at the ever shrinking world. Trees that had towered over him dwindled, giving him a clear view into the park on his left. Houses quickly fell to the same condition. He even had to step off th sidewalk as his barefeet no longer fit on it, though by that point it didn't matter, the masive weight of a single paw had caved in the cement walkway under it. The road followed as the right foot came down.
The by comparison, little lion looked up as he released the trigger. The titan's toes towered 30 feet overhead, for every inch of wolf there was now 10 feet of giant. His boy towered 450 feet into the sky and 480 if the ears were counted into it. Behind him, a tail stretched 140 feet long and twitched in the air. Luckily, the kid's clothes had grown too or things could be embarrasing.
John however was not all that worried, his new gun worked! He could shrink, grow and more to whatever he wanted! The enormous wolf cub certainly proved that! If it were ever a doubt, there were gigantic impressions in the road from the huge paws and pads pushing down.
