You have but a split second before the foot takes off agin, and so you drop to the ground againat the first opportunity. The fall is, to you, quite impressive, and you land in a fair amount of pain. The women walk off down the street quite oblivious to this.
When you have sufficiently recovered, you look about yourself (but mainly above) to see where you are. The sky is dark, and you are in a street. You don't recognise any landmarks (or at least not from this perspective), but you do recognise all too well the stumbling stride of the giants walking towards you, walking home from some club or bar. Should you stay on this sidewalk, you risk death, but you could catch another lift if you so desired.
However, you could drop down from the pavement to cross the road. There shouldn't be much traffic at this time of night, but it'll only take a single car to turn you into roadkill.
