His sister Marta yells back, "Of course there's a fire, you dummy. How do we get out?"
Tommy replies, "I mean, I wish there was no fire. I never asked for a fire!" This time his wish comes to nothing.
As the fire spreads, and Marta backs away from the heat, flipping over the coffee table in the process, she screams, "Stop wishing and start helping!"
Tommy saw that he didn't have time for his original plan to keep on wishing until something he wanted came true. Suspecting that unwishing something was going to be the hard part, he said, "I wish something good would come of my wishes."
Just then, two of the rain dogs, a German Shepard and a Saint Bernard, burst through the windows. The Shepard goes for Marta and the Saint Bernard grabs Tommy. The dogs pull them through the house and out to safety.
While Tommy and Marta are laying out on the lawn coughing out smoke, and dodging more falling cats and dogs, their parents struggle to walk up the drive. Their father says, "We had to abandon the car. Road's clogged with cats and dogs. What's going on and where's all that smoke coming from?"
