The universe had changed when you shrank, Rick didn't look down, just walked on as though he didn't know you, when you shrank the universe changed so that you'd always been tiny.

Looking around now, you realized a big problem. You'd assumed the enormous toes had been an inch tall when you shrank. Well, they weren't, they were a half inch, an eighth of a half was a sixteenth... 'Little' rick was a towering titan of 4600 feet tall, in a few steps he covered a few miles. And this was the 'little' kid.
