The Doctor had recently saved a planet from the wrath of the Yonkons. The planet was full of scientists. Although they looked human their intelligence far greater than that of even the smartest of humans. For the Doctor's courage he was given a special gift. He still had no companion. He stood before a crowd of these aliens and he was with their ruler.
"Doctor for helping us defeat the Yonkons we give you this gift," said their ruler.
"No I couldn't really," replied the Doctor.
"You offend us by not accepting."
"Oh am I? Ok I'll take it."
The ruler gives the Doctor a small glass dish. The sort of dish a scientist would put a sample in. He looked a little puzzled. But he still accepted it.
"To the Doctor our hero." The crowd give out a roar. it was times like this that made the Doctor happy. But he felt like there was something missing.
"Right thank you very much but I have to get going now."
"Come and visit any time."
The Doctor goes back to the TARDIS. He leaves the planet.
Then he puts the glass dish on one of his tables. Then he decided to go sit down and read a book by Charles Dickens. After about two hours of reading he heard a faint voice shouted Daddy. he put a bookmark in his book and started to look around the TARDIS to see if he could find anyone. Then when he got to the table where he had left the glass dish there was a woman sitting in it. She looked human. She had chest length brown hair, brown eyes. But the most striking thing about her was that she was only an inch.
"Hello Daddy," she said
