The Doctor opened the dictionary in front of Lisa and she was excited. She had never seen one of these before. She could read a few of them. This relieved the Doctor because it meant that he didn’t have to teach her how to read. But he might have to teach her advanced reading.
“Lisa this is a dictionary,” said the Doctor.
“Wow it’s really big,” replied Lisa.
“I know it has almost every word in the English Language.”
“Can I look at it?”
“Yes. It’s all in alphabetical order.”
“Let me get you a drink and then we’ll get started.”
The Doctor then got up out of his seat. Lisa looked at the dictionary and she was speed reading it all. She was reading the pages faster then she could turn the page. It was amazing to see but the Doctor was missing it all. He was still making the drinks for them both. He had no idea what was happening.
He eventually came back in with glass of water and saw Lisa sitting there with the dictionary closed.
“I read it daddy,” she said.
