Chapter #3

Swimming with the Mermaids

Feeling up for a bit of an adventure you decide to take your mermaid guide into the ocean. Walking over to her tank you greet her kindly.

"Hello Julia. I wish for you to take me to the kingdom of your people. Do this for me and I shall set you free."

"You mean I get to go home master? Of course I will take you to my peoples kingdom." She said with obvious enthusiasm.

"Excellent. Magical Gem I command you to transform me into a merman." As soon as these words left John's lips the changes started. His legs fused together at the hips and his feet became a giant flipper. Slits opened on his neck which were his gills. Finally his short brown hair was replaced by a green algae. Before John jumped into the tank he pressed the switch which opened the gate that allowed passage to the ocean. He jumped into the tank with Julia and commanded. "Lead the way."

Julia raced off eager to escape her prison. John tried to follow but he found it rather difficult to swim with his new flipper. Eventually he got into a rhythm and followed his mermaid guide.
