Chief Barnsley thought the offer over for a minute.
Chief Barnsley:I accept you have my support.
Director Lucas:Good. Now if you'll excuse me I have a meeting with the Prime minister.
Director Lucas cut the transmission.

Later at the meeting in downing street. The Prime minister walked into the room where Director Lucas was sitting. The Major was sitting on his right.
Director Lucas:You wanted to see us sir?
Prime Minister:Yes I've invited you here for extremely important reasons. But first.
The Prime minister handed over to the major and Director Lucas each a file they open it up and saw a form.
Director Lucas:Official secrecy act documents.
Prime Minister:Sign them so we can proceed.
Director Lucas and the Major signed the documents and handed them over to the Prime minister.
Prime minister:By signing these documents you have agreed to keep what you hear in this room to yourselves. I don't have to tell you that what your about to hear is above top secret.
Director Lucas:What is it you want to tell us?
Prime minister:The real reason behind the existence of the BASF. You see eight years ago we were contacted by an alien race calling themselves the ancients. They're part of a group called the Ascended an alliance of alien race that have ascended to a higher plain of existence dedicated to the protection of discovery, non interference and free will in the universe. The technology they possess way beyond that of Earth. They told us of another group calling themselves the Lucian Alliance a group dedicated to the destruction of races that don't or won't worship them as gods. They're technology is the same level as the Ascended. Basically what they want is a tactician to turn the tide of the war. Now there is only one being in the universe that can do that.
Director Lucas:The Leader
Prime Minster:Bingo. This is were you and the BASF come in. You were created in hopes of catching the Leader. But obviously that's not going to happen. What we want you to do is now use your resources to persuade the Leader to come to us. So we can come to an agreement with him. Now go.
Director Lucas:Very well sir.
Prime minister:Remember we need him alive.
Director Lucas and the major stood up and left the room.
