You travel about the place, with slack jawed awe, gawking at all the sights like a tourist. Eventually your wanderings take you aboard one of the larger starships that are berthed near a rather ornate castle. Soon you find yourself in a hanger bay full of people working on some kind of large mecha. Feeling the pull of curiosity you hustle up one of the mobile stair cases and peer inside the chest mounted cockpit.
“Hey what are you doing?” You turn at the sound of an indignant feminine voice to find a young woman in work overalls and a ball cap, peering at you over a raised a data slate. “You’re not in my work logs….Oh! Its you. About time you showed up” You blink as she taps a wrench impatiently against a leg, her azure eyes staring into yours. “I mean really, how much longer were you going to make us wait?”
You blink, not altogether sure what she’s talking about, “Um…I’m sorry?”
She shrugs and adjusts her glasses “Meh whatever…” she hands you a small pda and points to a far door in the hanger. “Go through there and then follow the map. “It’ll take you where you need to go. Now get a move on.” She then brushes by you, shooing you out of the way as she bends over to work on something in the cockpit.
For a moment you watch the way her cloths stretch over her backside as she mutters curse at the machine she’s working on. “It doesn’t do tricks buddy.” She growls and you realize that she’s looking over her shoulder at you. You nod and salute sloppily as she continues to glare, before scurrying away.
You start to head for the door when it occurs to you that now might be a good time to leave the ship and explore elsewhere. You pause and consider your options.
