You're startled by the sounds of another occupant in the stomach. It doesn't take you more than a second to see what it is. Mere feet away of you, you can see a Mudkip. If it were just to your side and standing on its four legs, you'd barely reach its chest. Just how small are you?
It noticed you as well, and approaches you curiously. Much to your surprise, it doesn't seem like Munchlax's increasing stomach acids is affecting it. You're submerged up to your waist and you can feel its effects on you. For now it's just a tingling sensation, but you fear that in no time it'll turn into something more painful or fatal.
-"Help!"- you plead to the Mudkip, hoping it understands you. It seems like it does, because it laid flat on the floor, as if it were beckoning you to ride on its back. You decide that is what it wants, so you try to get on its back. You're finally safe, at least for now. However, it doesn't look like the influx of acids will stop, so it's matter of time before your death.
Knowing this, you frantically look around for a solution. You see the entrance to the esophagus up there, but not even standing on Mudkip you'd be able to reach it, much less open it. However, you do see a different path, and more accessible. You ask Mudkip to swim over there, to examine it better.
When you're in front of it, you quickly take a glance to its size. It's big enough for you and Mudkip to enter. You know very well that it undoubtedly leads to Munchlax's intestines, but compared to death in the stomach, it seems like the lesser of two evils. But you still have your doubts, as you really don't want to get dirty with anything you could find down there. Even in the danger of death, you can't avoid thinking about it.
While you're hesitating, Mudkip was able to feel your doubts. The water Pokémon looked around, and decided that if you and it didn't enter through the intestines quick, soon it would be covered by the acids, meaning you'd be trapped and most likely doomed. It took a decision, while you were still thinking.
