Kevin sees a few boys in the sporting goods store

While walking around the sporting goods store, Kevin spotted Ben, a boy who lived down the street from his house. Ben was 12 years old and about 5 feet tall.

"Hey, Ben. How's going?" he asked the boy.

Ben was looking at a basketball that was in a box on the shelf.

"it's going alright... I'd like to buy that basketball but I'm a few dollars short..." he sighed.

"How much do you need?" Kevin asked him.

"Just two dollars..."

Kevin reached in his pocket and pulled out his wallet. Then he handed Ben two dollars. Ben took the money and bought the basketball and took it home.

Later that afternoon Kevin spotted Ben shooting baskets using the hoop on the driveway in front of his house. What happens next?
