Kevin decided the pool would be the most fun to change someone at. Not wanting to feel out of place, he changed into a pair of board shorts he had in his backpack. Around the pool, there were people of all ages swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying being outside in the nice weather.
As he walked over towards the deep end, Kevin noticed a boy sitting by himself, dangling his feet into the pool and looking sad. The boy looked about 14, had olive skin and short dark hair, and was a bit chubby. Kevin wandered closer towards the boy, and focused his energy on him, reading his mind.
The boy's thoughts quickly flooded over him. His name was Vic, and both his parents had died in a car crash when he was nine. He was sent here to live with his very strict aunt, who home-schooled him and rarely let him leave the house. As a result, he had no friends, had a very poor body image, and was very socially awkward, even for a teenager. To top it off, he had recently realized he was gay, which he knew would cause his aunt to go ballistic, so he had to struggle to keep that inside too. Every week he would come out to the pool, always sitting at the side, watching everyone else have fun, and wishing he could be one of them.
Feeling really sorry for Vic, Kevin decided to go talk to him. As he sat down, Vic turned away, extremely uncomfortable.
"Relax, Vic," Kevin said.
"W-who are you? H-how do you know my name?" Vic asked.
"My name's Kevin, and I know a lot about you," he replied. "I'm here to help."
Vic stared straight down at the water, saying nothing for a long time.
Finally, under his breath, he said, "To help, you'd have to change everything about me."
"Okay," Kevin said, smiling. He concentrated, imagining the body fat on Vic melting away. Vic felt a little tingling, and looked down to see his body becoming skinnier, and more fit.
"Holy cow!" Vic said, "What's happening?"
"Do you like it?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah! Did you do this?" Vic said.
Kevin nodded. He made a few minor touches, adding a little muscle to give Vic a nice swimmer's build, and growing out his hair to be shaggy, covering his ears, complementing his new body very well.
Vic looked at his reflection in the water. "I look like a completely different person!" he exclaimed. "What else can you do?"
"What else do you want?" Kevin asked.
Vic thought for a moment...
