Chapter #3

A reason to get sick

    by: Leon Author IconMail Icon
The ring on Megan's hand flashes and in an instant the three children seem to disappear into thin air. Mrs. Jones stirs out of her slumber for a moment. She takes off her sunglasses and rubs her eyes. She could've sworn she saw a large red flash just a moment ago. It must have been someone accidentally setting off a firework early. There's no sign of her precious children anywhere. Sandra frowns and gets out of her chair to walk over where the children were playing...

Meanwhile young Jon is recovering from the effects of the ring. He feels sick and a violent swaying motion isn't helping things. He is suspended what he guesses is about twenty feet in the air. Below him he sees his brother and sister are passed out on the ground. He looks around himself to get his bearings. He's surrounded by a sea of light green plants and below are several boulders. He looks up to see his shirt caught on a branch attached to an oddly shaped tree. Nothing is making any sense to Jon he feels as if he wants to cry but his tears are held back when a deep rumbling moves across the earth. Then another, and another, when finally a french manicured foot explodes with a BOOM onto the earth close by. The foot is enormous, the size of two buses placed side by side. It is smooth and tan but moves with a deadly power and force that betrays its feminine quality.

Jon looks up to see what this harbinger of doom is attached to. His vision makes its way up a long and tan leg that streches for at least two to three miles until it reaches a pair of shorts. The shorts give way to a flat and toned stomach and stops at two mountain sized breasts. Further up is the face of this monolith but the sun blinds Jon for a moment. He squints and is finally able to see the face of his titanic mother, seemingly staring right back at him. It's all just too much, Jon finally vomits.

Sandra reaches the spot where the children were playing but all she sees is the stick Jon was using and one of those pesky weeds that always grows this time of year. She looks at it in disgust, she hated little annoying things that were smaller than her. She lifts up her foot and...

You have the following choices:

1. Jon stuggles off the weed, escapes with his siblings

2. one down, two kids to go
