"Amy Rose! That rascal practically worships me- well now there's a whole TON of me to love!"
Trying to hide his concern from the hedgehog's rapid acceptance of his state, the doctor nodded and left the room, leaving the blue blob to himself. "Man... I really gotta go to the bathroom..."

Arriving in a blistering quick half-hour after Sonic first named her as his emergency contact, Amy jumped out of her tiny car and ran into the Mobius hospital's front desk, terrifying the receptionist.
"TELL ME WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH MY BOYFRIEND!!!" She screamed, the meek worker calming Amy down as she explained Sonic was in surprisingly good health for his condition, the rest of the medical spiel Amy quickly drowned out her medical mumbo-jumbo with musings about Sonic, even as she was being escorted to the lab they were holding him in by another nurse.
'Man, out of everyone he could've chosen, Sonic wanted ME to pick him up~! I have to hand it to myself, years of stalking, rooting through bins and breaking several restraining orders will always eventually get through to a guy! Heck, this sickness of his is probably made up just as an excuse to see lil' old me~!'
Not that Amy had bothered listening to what the original phone-call from the hospital had said beyond Sonic requesting she retrieve him, of course. So when the pair finally reached the door to Sonic's room, Amy was a bit confused as why the nurse rested a hand on her shoulder.
"Look, Miss Rose? I just want you to take a deep breath before you walk in; it must be a lot to take in everything that's happened to Sonic today."
"What with the who now? Doesn't he just have like, a cold or something-"
" ... Miss Rose, haven't you been paying attention to anything I was just briefing you on? The extreme changes, the personality change, how he's essentially a different person now, not to mention the sme-"
"Heeeey- Is that a certain lady I hear out there, or are my ears deceiving me~?" A low voice rumbled from out the door, the nurse sighing as Amy promptly ignored the nurse once again.
"It's me Sonic, Amy~! I've come here to pick you up~!" Amy called through the door, the nurse making every effort to keep it shut as Amy tried to push past her. "P-please Miss Rose, I t-t-t-think you should listen to me before going i-i-inside!!!"
"Well come on in honey, lovebirds like us can't be kept apart for long~!"
With that, Amy's heart soared a million miles, the girl almost instinctively throwing the nurse to the side as she ran in, the nurse calling after her. "WAIT, YOU FORGOT YOUR... Awwww screw it."
Running into the middle of the lab with a skip, Amy opened her eyes and was met with one hell of a sight.
"Surprise! How do you like my new look, cutie?"
Sitting in front of her was several tons of pure hedgehog, Sonic's blue and vanilla fur raining down rivers of sweat as mixture of waste, drool and slobber pooled around both his body and Amy's feet, Sonic's bearing a smug smile in his flabby, slightly sunken head on the top of his mountainous body.
Speechless, the nurse slowly tiptoed next to Amy, completely decked out in a hazardous material suit. "Uh... Yeah, you're supposed to be wearing one of these to be in here. Plus, y'know, you boy friends an enormous blob who apparently gets his kicks taking a dump everywhere. Actually, you're the first person to walk into here since he started soiling himself constantly without wearing some form of protection, so... umm... Y'know..."
