As Dmitri and I stepped out into the street, he patted his belly and half-stifled a rich burp. "What do you say we go somewhere else?" he said, as though we hdn't just stuffed our faces. "I'm dying for some DECENT food."
I was about to protest, but then, Hesper did have a range of excellent eating establishments and although I was no longer hungry per se, I could still eat. Why deprive myself? I wasn't a fatty like Dmitri, I could afford to pig out now and again. The question was, where to? There was Polyburger, part of a big fast food chain, or the authentic Italian Giorgio's Pizza. Of course, we could always go for dessert – there was an ice cream place that was supposed to be pretty good, Vanilla Village, or else we could try Big Al's, a new diner I'd heard had just opened. And, last but not least, the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet just round the corner.
