The Sir and The Shillings

"It's her constable." Mr.Hartship mumbled before sitting in the shadowed seat. He was not one to cry about such matters and the long drawn out pause just made him angered.
"Tiny, thank the constable for his time and take the cab back here are some shillings for the day...spend them well boy. After all it is your birthday, child."
"Yes sir, thank you sir...I'll run the way so the boys and I may spend the money at the market. We shall all have a feast sir, you as well."
"Thank you child, now run along."
